Ebenezer Has a Word for Everything by Chelsea H. Rowe

5.0

I was walking through the children's books floor of the library when this caught my eye.
I haven't read a book so short, yet incredibly my life. This boy's story reflected my life before high school. I recently found my OWN mini dictionary like Ebenezer had from when I was in 5th or 6th grade. It started as a class assignment, but then I used it for a year or so after because I really loved finding words, looking them up, and writing the definitions down. It was also my fun way of practicing my cursive, which I wrote this 5.5 x 4" spiral entirely in the form.
Legit: there is a page folded in as the dividers for each letter up to the letter V. (I guess I didn't have any words that started with the rest of the alphabet. lol
Anyway, I LOVE this book. Also, the drawings of the characters are funny: No neck.. but their heads bend. hahaha

I recommend this book for anyone who also has a love of words and even when you get made fun of (because it's inevitable), don't let it get to you much because you were put in that place for a reason. You don't know who needs your special gift/propensity to help in the future. <3
