2.0

I read this mostly because I read the first three books in the Carr Family series as a child, and wanted to read this and In The High Valley to see how the Carr siblings ended up.

I was going to rate this on the high side for sentimental reasons, as I quite enjoyed the first three books as a child, but really the whole series is about how women should grow up to be great housekeepers and look after the men in their lives, and not be anything like Mrs Watson.

As such, I could only rate this two stars. I didn't hate it, but there are too many faults, too little plot, and not enough good things to make me rate it any higher.
