A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle

4.0

When I picked this book up, I wasn’t expecting it to be so much like the Chronicles of Narnia, in the sense that much of the story is a Christian allegory. I found that element of the story to be very interesting, but there were a couple of other parts of the book that confused me and seemed to come out of nowhere. It may just be because I was reading fast, but I never remember them introducing the “CENTRAL Central Intelligence Center”, so I pretty much went through the rest of the book without knowing what it was.

Overall, I enjoyed reading this book again (as the last time I read it was in 2nd grade), and I’m interested to see how the movie deals with the allegory throughout the book (i.e. will characters still quote Scripture and talk about God?)
