The choke hold that this series and this book specifically have me in is unreal!! We got an additional perspective in this installment and I loved it. I predicted who it would be and I loved being right, but I think that perspective was really interesting. I adore Corrick and Tessa still, but I thought the added side characters brought a depth that was fun for the sequel. There were a lot of tender and vulnerable moments as well as a lot of info regarding the surrounding land outside of Kandala. This world has pulled me in and I am so completely invested in this story. The cliffhanger was appalling in the best way and I need book three immediately. This was an amazing book and I'm soo curious to see what will happen next!
