I am such a fan of this Author and was highly anticipating this book. Unfortunately, it did fall kind of flat for me. I found it a little too wholesome at times, where I felt that there could have been elaborations on the raw and gritty emotions.
I think this story is going to resonate with readers who are looking for that “slice of life” story, one that is on the safer and lighter shade of the reading spectrum. For me though, I kept putting it down because I just wasn’t getting what I wanted from these characters. Although this book didn’t work for me I am sure with the right audience it’ll be what they’re looking for in a very sweet and wholesome story.
