The Batman Adventures: Mad Love by Paul Dini

One of my top five Batman stories, easily.
I'm a little perturbed by some of the comments here, which don't seem to find quite as much tragedy in this as I think is appropriate. I like the tone, though; it's not too heavy handed about things. Harley's very funny and all that, but in this story more than any other we get a glimpse at the tragedy of her life-- a promising young psychiatric doctor who is manipulated into obsessive love by the psychopath to end all psychopaths. It's pretty brutal and sad, but again, thankfully not played that way all the time by Dini or Timm. Beautifully drawn and written.
