Two Nights by Kathy Reichs

3.0

I am not a fan of the Temperance Brennan series but I was intrigued by the description of this stand-alone novel. Sunday Night (know as Sunnie to her few friends) is a former cop living a reclusive life on a small island in South Carolina. Her mentor arranges her to meet a wealthy woman who seeks to find the bombers who killed her daughter and grandson and possibly kidnapped her grand daughter. What ensues is an action packed trek to Chicago, Los Angeles and other locales, and James Bondian escapes as Sunnie discovers a secret cult planning a major event. Sunnie is an interesting character and I will be surprised if she doesn't have another story to tell.

I thank NetGalley, Random House Publishing, and the author for an ARC of Two Nights.
