This might just be my new favourite book of all time.
It takes some time to get into the groove of the world and the magic system, but the payoff is monumental. A brilliant, lovable cast of characters, excellent dialogue and banter.
The last 150 pages were INSANE, I was gripping the boom for dear life, I cried, I yelled, just WOW!
This book was also surprisingly philosophical, moments that explored mental health, faith and hope so effectively.
It works well as a standalone so I'm curious to see how the trilogy progresses.
