The Curse of the Seelie King by Chloe Everhart

4.0

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book and it is exactly what I would want for an easy fantasy romance book! The world building was not difficult to understand which allowed the reader to immerse themselves into the characters and world very easy and very early on. I want to say this is an enemies to lover book but it fell flat and was Insta-attraction/love with very little enemy. The secrets being kept were just waiting to be revealed. My big disappointment with the major conflict in the book just seemed like a toddler temper tantrum and she just gave in so quickly it didn’t seem to match how I thought her character would react. Also the villain plot twist at the end was done beautifully and I don’t think we are done with that story line fully. My second gripe was how NOONE had the thought of remembering what the contract said and getting married. I was screaming from behind my kindle I knew that was about to be a problem. The cliffhanger is nice because it sets you up for book two without leaving you fully in limbo. I am eager still to find out where this story will go and how her powers will be utilized. Also still questioning is this a fated mate trope? It was mentioned once so time will tell!
