Where They Found Her by Kimberly McCreight

2.0

Edited 25/09/16: Yep, 2 stars in the end :(

I don't know how to review this book… I'm going for 2.5 stars for now because I'm trying to focus on the stuff I liked, but I might change it in the future >_<

I was enjoying 'Where They Found Her' a lot, and I mean A LOT. I bought this some time ago without knowing much about it purely because I loved 'Reconstructing Amelia', and for the most part it didn't disappoint: the story is gripping, thrilling and heartbreaking, and I had no idea what was going on in the best possible way. Then I got to the final 20% of the book and everything was being exposed and connected beautifully and it seemed like I was going to get a neat ending, ribbon included, just like I like them. And then in the last 50 pages something happens that ruined the whole book for me, mostly because it didn't make sense and didn't fit with what we had learned about that character at all. And as if one random twist was not enough, in the last 10 pages we get another revelation connected to that twist that put the proverbial last nail in the coffin for me. Seriously, the story was nearly perfect!! I was going to give it 4 stars, but now I can only think about the nonsense at the ending. I hate my brain sometimes >_<
