The New Me by Halle Butler
4.0
I think it took me awhile to get into this book but by the end I think I got what was trying to be said because lord knows I’m always looking for a message or theme in a story and I’ve concluded that Butler presents a situation that I’m sure a lot of millenials and old gen z people have felt. Not being able to change things when you really want to and feeling hopeless and depressed. I like that Butler writes with what feels like bluntness and honesty but it’s not offensive; it’s human thoughts we have all had drunk or when we are stressed or dreaming of a new life. I ultimately think this book reminds me that life is going to change no matter what so get used to it and go with it.
