Did not finish book.
The cover of this book is so beautiful! And it sounds gorgeous!
And then I started reading.
I literally had to force myself to read nine pages because the writing is really. awful. Completely telling, no showing, and full of run on sentences. For example, she spends 11 lines (yes, actually) and one sentence (run-on much? i know, i'm one to talk) telling why she rolled down the windows (because she's passing doughnut shops and tattoo parlors and such and wants to 'take it in'. because she just couldn't do that with her windows rolled up?). do i care. no. and then there's the info dumping. but i am now going to shut up.
Obviously I'm in the minority. oh well. it probably gets better as the book goes on, but i couldn't hang on that long.
