Iced Under by Barbara Ross

This is the fifth book in the Maine Clambake Mystery series and it does not disappoint. I have very much enjoyed this series and this book was no exception. Ms. Ross has written a terrific mystery that is well plotted and has a wonderful pace that just moves the reader along throughout the story. Because it's winter in Busman's Harbor this mystery doesn't involve the business, but rather an expensive necklace that was sent to Julia Snowden's mother and is purportedly a lost family heirloom. I thought Ms. Ross did a great job of weaving this mystery throughout the story and providing the reader with plenty of twists and turns. In addition, because this is the 5th book in the series, the characters are well developed, realistic and very enjoyable. With this book we are also introduced to new characters from another branch of the family.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and will definitely be back to see what the author has in store for her readers in future installments.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy provided by the publisher through Netgalley. This did not influence my opinion and the thoughts expressed are my own.
