I really enjoyed how the book explored how true understanding occurs through participation rather than analysis. I feel like it is only the characters that interact fully with the brightness get any sense of closure and even the reader can only experience the futile comprehension of characters in the narrative.

I think this book, through one of its perspectives, shows how places familiar seem to change just by our removal from them.

I think that I don’t understand the events occurring in area x after reading through the books. I’m not sure if I’m not supposed to or if I am and have missed something or if the author failed to deliver understanding. I think that overall I like the series and this entry in it a lot.
