The Never Game by Jeffery Deaver
3.75
This was a re-read (Maybe third or fourth time?) because for some reason, StoryGraph was showing I hadn't read it.
Jeffrey Deaver has always been a favourite of mine - The Sleeping Doll is the book that really got me into reading over a decade ago, and the Colter Shaw series is my favourite of his. It's well-written, his adventures/jobs are fun to follow along, and the underlying mystery of his father/brother is fun to follow along - it's never the main focus, but I still find myself wanting to know what actually happened there!
This book was good - it's nothing spectacular, but it's a solid read. The premise has been done before (Killer bases their kills on a video game), but it was done well. It didn't feel stale or like it had been done before, and it was still fun to follow along.
