Tribbs: The Very Handsome Cat by Faye Rapoport Despres

5.0

Tribbs, The Very Handsome Cat, is a delightful book for children and adults. It introduces the concept of rescue pets, as well as briefly touching on the tragedy of abandoned pets.

The story is the right length for holding a toddler's attention. It gets the message across without becoming overly preachy.

Laurel McKinstry Petersen's illustrations are vivid, beautiful, and add significantly to the overall enjoyment of the story.

I'm sure the book will become a favorite of youngsters everywhere. It's a story that introduces important concepts to children, and perhaps will make an adult think twice before abandoning a pet.
