What a fantastic read I feel so sad that it’s over. This was such a beautiful piece of literature I can’t believe how underrated this book is. Salahudin and Noors story was so complex and I just felt so much for these two, you just want the best for them. I love the two timelines but Tahir did a great job of making sure we knew that the modern day timeline was the main one. This book enriched me in Pakistani culture and I loved to read it. The triggering topics written were written so well, Tahir did an AMAZING job of not making it feel too packed I don’t know how she did it. Dude her writing just dropped me in these characters anger, their grief, their rage.  There is A LOT of trauma in this book, if you aren’t comfortable with those topics maybe skip this for now. But I think everyone who can handle the topics should reach for this book. Fantastic well deserving 5 stars
