Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner

emotional reflective sad medium-paced

3.5

The sad parts in this book are incredibly sad. Seeing your parent pass in such a slow horrific way has got to be horrific in a capacity I hope most don’t have to go through. These parts are what makes Crying in H-mart so compelling and evoke so many emotions in the audience.

I must say though, I think Michelle may have used half baked recipes as filler for chapters that really only had a paragraph or so of meaningful text. No hate, of course. Just personally wish I didn’t have to sit through that
