Tokyo Tarareba Girls, Vol. 3 by Akiko Higashimura

4.0

We're really in it now.
I "like" where all the relationships are currently going as in I find it refreshing how candid the characters are with each other and how the author does not shy away from imperfection. Yes, sexism and internalized misogyny is present and often not questioned but it also feels accurate to what I've heard about the more rigid Japanese social hierarchy.
While it's not everyone's goal in life to marry a romantic partner, I can't fault these women for wanting this life and struggling to find a way to reach it.
