Waiting to Be Arrested at Night: A Uyghur Poet's Memoir of China's Genocide by Tahir Hamut Izgil

challenging dark emotional informative sad tense medium-paced

5.0

I knew somewhat of the plight of the Uyghurs, but this personal story of one family was both informative and heartbreaking. Seriously, beautiful prose and very much worth the read.
