This was an okay book. Not the best but not terrible either. Just somewhere right in the middle.

I went back and forth throughout the whole book on whether I liked the characters or not. It felt like each character had one thing they were known for and nothing else and they stick to it making the story feel incredibly boring at times and even frustrating.

Some chapters would take forever to read because they were so boring and I felt like some of them were just way too repetitive. Whether it was a phrase/sentence being repeated several times in one chapter or whether it just felt as though the scenes repeated even if they were with different characters in the book.

The story would pick up for a chapter or two and I'd start to get into it and then it'd be another boring one and the kids would just drop and then right back up again. So when I would think the book was getting really good it would just get bad again leaving me feeling disappointed.

The last 5-8 chapters were really the best part of the whole book where all the action and drama was. Nothing really horrible happened until then no drama. And everything happened so suddenly with no apparent warning whatsoever. It's just dropped on us and the characters with no build up, hardly any foreshadowing, practically no hints at all as to what's going to go down, which can be good in some books, but I just don't think it was executed well enough in this story.

The been in this book are very sweet most of the time. They dote on the fmc almost the entire time. They would've been perfect if they had more personality to them. Like I said they each have their schtick and they hardly branch out of the box they're in.

My expectations weren't high for this book mainly because I don't gravitate towards books with billionaire in the title or stories about billionaires specifically. I used to take love them but as my reading tastes evolved billionaire stories were left behind. Don't get me wrong there are some great billionaire books out there I just don't usually go for them anymore. This one as I said was okay now terrible at all, just boring and dull at times. But it did pick up a lot in the end which I think saved it a bit.

In the end I probably will not pick this specific book up again.
