The end, which felt a little self-indulgent, didn't quite keep up with the rest of the book. Very spooky, very eat-the-rich, very gruesome. Recommend the audiobook, since there's a diverse cast of voices. I like the up-and-down pace of the chapters, but the symbolism and message felt a little too exposed. 7.5/10 because I do like a scary story.
