The Crown Conspiracy by Michael J. Sullivan

5.0

Found The Crown Conspiracy while browsing several fantasy groups on Goodreads. The cover description piqued my interest. A tale about two thieves who find themselves being blamed for the murder of their king! The beautifully created cover illustration also caught my eye. Both of these factors promised a great read. This fantasy didn’t disappoint!

I enjoyed the interaction between the two main characters of Royce and Hadrian. I particularly liked reading their dialogues. Their easy banter is believable and moves the story along very well, and the reader just knows that these two friends would be willing to do anything for each other. I am looking forward to see how their friendship develops further and what kind of dangerous situations they will find themselves in the upcoming books.

I do hope that some of the other characters introduced in this book will be revisited in the series. How will Prince Alric handle his new role of being the king? Will his sister, Princess Arista, pursue her interest in magic? What role will the wizard play? These are just a few questions that I am left with after finishing this medieval fantasy.
