Sword Catcher by Cassandra Clare
3.0
a great classic fantasy
I really enjoyed Clare’s shift away from the Shadowhunter world, and in fact liked this better than most of the books in that universe. It took me a little while to get into, and took longer than it needed to get where it was going, but for all that I kept turning pages to see what would happen next. The world building and political system is fantastic (it takes a while to get the myriad of kingdoms and nobles and whatnot straight in your head) and the cast of characters are interesting and without a weak link. I’m particularly intrigued by the Ragpicker King. Will definitely be picking up the next book in this series to see what happens next
