I liked this book and as I was reading it I was thinking this was a 3.25 maybe even 3.5 star read….until 2 things happened at the end of the book. Non-spoiler version: big plot things happen with NO set up as a “revel” but don’t make sense and the FMC goes from smart, logical, pragmatic to an absolute idiot so the plot can move along. Spoiler version:

one of her mates (Orion) is actually a Demi-god (of torture and torment) and this is just whipped out of the blue and it’s so out of the blue the author had to put a conversation with her wolf saying “we will explain it later” cause what the fuck?! And two the whole book Viv is smart and strong and everything and then when the bad guy comes, they make a plan and for absolutely and I mean absolutely no reason other than the author needed a battle to happen, viv opens the doors and she is like whaaaaaat we are fighting?!? Who knew that would happen!?

It ruined the book for me
