The SEAL's Rebel Librarian by Anne Calhoun

3.0

First off -with a title like that there was no reality in which I wasn't going to read this book.

Major acknowledgement to all the academic library references - students are messy and printing issues come up all the time! I had so many "OMG tell me about it" moments throughout this book.

The premise of this romance was pretty solid - trying to get your life back after a divorce/ long relationship for the heroine, and the hero trying to trust his mind and body again after being in the SEAL's. I liked that they helped each other out in small ways, but ultimately their healing was done internally and through their own efforts - they sort of just acted as supports and cheerleaders for each other.

I also appreciated the positive approach to mental health and therapy that the hero's story line took, it's always nice to see that encouraged in any environment.

My only real issue with this book is that it felt a little insta-love-ey - the whole book takes place over the course of a couple of weeks and the hero and heroine have no prior history. But other than that it's a quicky funny read.
