I was definitely surprised about the start of this arc- it cut straight to the chase!

Our main characters this time are Sunbeam, Flamepaw, and Frostpaw:
- I liked how Sunbeam is older, and how she’s a new character but still has connections to older arc characters and plot lines. I hope she does have a natural maturity arc though rather than being another Hollyleaf-esque character.
- Flamepaw was giving me Crowfeather vibes, which I was not expecting. I’m not sure what I think of him now, but he definitely has a lot of potential.
- Frostpaw felt the most generic of the three characters, but the plot in her chapters was definitely the most intense so hopefully she’ll catch up. I was a bit disappointed about her not comparing herself to Shadowsight; I thought that would be an interesting dimension to her already developing complex.

My main pro of this book is that for the first time in ages, it feels like we’re getting minor character development. So many characters who have just been there to say a line or two in the past are getting personalities, which I’m really happy about.
However, there seemed to be pretty shoddy proofreading in this book. Sunbeam remember that Tawnypelt was born in ThunderClan twice literally two paragraphs apart :)

Overall, a promising start with lots of potential for this arc!
