I really enjoyed this book overall. The magic felt really fresh and unique, I really like fantasy stuff that has to do with plant magic so I was soooo ready for this but the pacing of this one just kind of felt off to me. It was really slow with a lot of buildup that took like 90% of the book to pay off, and then it just kind of...ends?...in a way that feels less like an exciting cliffhanger and more like we just got to the action. I loved the characters and the setting and the mystery of it all so much that I had a really good time reading it. On to the sequel
