It's a story of body dysmorphia & its conclusion (no spoilers) as a teen boy flees a religious cult that is set on wiping humanity from the planet & bringing on Revelations. Benji has been injected with a serum to becom their weapon... and obviously it doesn't go as planned.
It takes heavy aim at Christianity & fits more under "dystopian" than "horror" in my mind.
Pretty sure I'll be adding this to my library so I can read it again.

Graphic: Body horror, Gore, Violence, Vomit, Religious bigotry, Death of parent, and Murder
Moderate: Deadnaming, Genocide, Gun violence, Toxic relationship, Transphobia, Grief, Medical trauma, Fire/Fire injury, and Injury/Injury detail
