When You Disappeared by John Marrs
5.0
This is my first John Marrs book. I joined a Facebook group that very into his writing. The author does provide a bit of comedy in the group which I enjoy. I decided to take the plunge and according to John Marrs himself this is the first book of the his standalone psychology thriller books.
There are two main characters Simon and Catherine. They are married and have three children. One morning Simon disappears without a trace of what happened. Twenty-five years later he knocks on Catherine's door to let her know the reason he left.
The story goes back and forth between Simon's events and Catherine's events for the past twenty-five years. I felt frustrated with Simon because he dragged out the story and refused to tell Catherine why he left. That is what everyone wants to know...the why.
John Marrs did not disappoint me on the twists and turns of the story both with Simon and Catherine. It was slow in some parts, but some times I could not get enough. I will definitely continue to the next psychological thriller he has.
