Baltimore, Volume Three: A Passing Stranger and Other Stories by Mike Mignola, Christopher Golden

4.0

Randomly picked this up and am so glad I did. I have not read any of Mignola's stuff in a while and this is as good as some of his better Hellboy material. Set in post-WW1 Europe, it has notes of H.P. Lovecraft in the guise of a vampire hunter story. It does not have the sarcastic humor of the Hellboy series, but makes up for it with an increase in weird monster horror. A much more serious affair, and worth a read. Really digging it and look forward to reading the rest of the series. The art is good as well, brining monsters to life in a simple but effective way.
