What's that old addage? Don't judge a book by its cover? A friend recommended this series to me, so I got a hold of the audiobook on Libby but I was immediately put off by the cover. It just seemed tacky to me. I heard that saying in my head and didn't return the book right away. I put it on one night when I couldn't sleep and was immediately hooked. Loveable characters, I'm a fan of the voice actress, interesting plot and it's quick with a little romance mixed in but the mystery and the female protagonist's inner dialogue take center stage. All-in-all an unchallenging and delightful read that has me fully hooked
