This was a pretty good read, especially for a YA Fantasy Debut and for my first book of 2022! Despite starting off slowly for me, there was a sense of intrigue and mystery with our main character Dani that really got me into it. I was hooked on her internal conflict, being the top student of her graduating class at the Medio School for Girls while harboring a lifelong secret.

If you're looking for a dystopian fantasy with espionage, female characters playing to their very obvious (and some not so obvious yet equally powerful) strengths, and wlw, definitely check this out!
