I really loved this! At first, I wasn't really expecting much from just the summary alone. I found it interesting enough to buy it. Finally got around to reading it earlier today, and man I couldn't put it down! Historical novels are generally tough for me to enjoy, but this one was great! Loved the inclusion of the supernatural, and of course preternatural, in this book. I found the pacing to be perfect, albeit a bit slow in some moments.
Loved the building romance in here too! It mixed in perfectly with the mystery surrounding the disappearances of supernaturals. I found both plot lines to be done really well! I found myself invested in both, though I will admit the romance was my fave. I can't wait to pick up the next book in the series! Definitely recommend checking this one out!
