Play You by Tracy Lorraine

5.0

Play You is the last book in the Rebel Ink series. I have loved this series, and am sad to see it go. However I am very excited to see what happens next! This book is told from dual points of view from Dawson and Piper.

Dawson and Piper were sweethearts in high school, however then there was an accident and Dawson is led to believe that Piper died along with her parents. His father is the head of a gang and Dawson decides he wants out of that life. Piper and her parents died. Or so Dawson thought.

Now years later Dawson just got custody of his 16 year old daughter and he will do whatever he can to give her the life she deserves which includes going to the best school he can find. He found out he will get his inheritance when he is engaged but didn’t worry about it before but now that his daughter is with him he starts thinking about that again.

When he’s getting is daughter registered for school he runs into Piper. It’s like seeing a ghost. Piper has been on the run fearing Dawson’s father is coming after her. Now that he knows she’s alive she fears for her life. Dawson starts making a plan to have her fall in love with him to get his inheritance. However along the way real feelings develop again.

Can they work through their past and stay together like they planned when they were younger? Or will Dawson’s family get in the way? This book was so good. I couldn’t put it down and I can’t wait for the next book by this author.
