Avengers: The Children's Crusade by Allan Heinberg

3.0

While enjoyable, this book is very confusing. This is not a book that can be enjoyed by casual comic fans, as it requires a deep understanding and knowledge of the Marvel universe over the past 60+ years.
I am always happy to see books focused on the Young Avengers, specifically Cassie, Kate and Eli, but I really struggled with liking Billy and Teddy in this story. I always have a problem with Teddy's design, and it seems that he's forgotten Billy's name, only ever referring to him as "my boyfriend." Billy also, is unlikable. He seems incapable of accepting that his actions have consequences and that Wanda has been things other than his mother. Wanda was charming, and the way she was drawn was spectacular.
All in all, not entirely recommended unless you're a big Scarlet Witch fan, or you're interested in Avengers politics.
