The Lady's Lover by Deb Marlowe

5.0

It's always sad when a book series ends. The reader must decide whether to rush through to find the final Happy Ending or to read slowly and savor the trip. Hestia Wright has been through so much at the hands of her arch-nemesis and now we are in the endgame. We know Hestia must win but it was a difficult journey to get there.
Hestia is summoned to a meeting with the Prince Regent who is upset that the Marquess of Marstoke has escaped once again. He is putting Hestia on the hunt and giving her a partner - the Earl of Stoneacre. She is upset with this partnership - not because she doesn't like Stoneacre but because she might like him too much. The two both have experience hunting down Marstoke and together they are a winning team.
While you know who will win in the end, getting there is dangerous and sometimes you wonder if they can really win against such evil. Along the way, the sparks between Hestia and Stoneacre fan into a flame and that is another issue they must overcome.
This was a great ending to a wonderful series and only the best Happily Ever After could suffice for Hestia Wright.
