Wolves of the Calla by Stephen King

4.0

Wolves of the Calla is my second favourite Dark Tower after The Drawing of the Three, and I'm glad it reinvigorated my interest for the series after a disappointing book 4.
This book focus on three main plots: the infamous Wolves that are going to attack the town of Calla - Mia's pregnancy and how it will affect the characters around her - the Black Thirteen. All them were interesting to follow.
What really made this book a good read though, was, once again, the main ka-tet. The Dark Tower is found family done right, it's incredible to see how far Roland has come since book 1, and all that is thanks to Eddie, Susanna and Jake (and Oy). This book also had the presence of a solid character: Father Callahan, his chapters were really interesting, and luckily, I had read Jerusalem's Lot before, otherwise the story would've been spoiled.
