Dryad follows the story of twins Griffon and Rana, and their smokin hot parents (just sayin). Yale and Morgan travel to the tiny, rural town of Frostbrook in hopes of peace and normalcy for their twins Rana and Griffon.
After invaders attack the town, they are forced to head back to the life of high-stakes ops and cybernetics they left behind.
With a mix of magical fantasy and cyberpunk thematics, the premise for this novel was really intriguing. There’s a lot of action but not a whole lot of explanation into the backstory and plot of the book, which left me feeling more confused than satisfied. I feel that the story so far has been a little rushed an inconsistent. I am hopeful that maybe they will slow it down a bit in subsequent issues and lay a little more groundwork for the story. I’m willing to give it a bit more time before I decide to continue on in the series.
