This series by Susannah Nix has been a highly enjoyable one (if you're new to the King Family don't worry, this can easily be read as a stand alone), and as I've come to know the many brothers and sisters in the family, I've been really curious about Ryan. I have a feeling that when people read his story, he is going to quickly become everyone's favorite!

Ryan is beloved by all of his slightly disfunctional family. He is the one most of the King kids go to for advice or a shoulder to cry on. But Ryan has had a secret that has been hovering about him for years, one that none of the King clan but his step-father, George knows. As a result, Ryan has given up dating, and has stopped looking for love. Maggie has been hired by George to try to revitalize the King Family's ice cream brand. Knowing that things will be shaken up, the community isn't excited to welcome her into the fold, especially considering she might be laying off many of the town. When her next door neighbor, Ryan, offers to date her so that people might see her more as a person than the woman dooming their jobs, she accepts.

Let me just get this out of the way. I've loved every book of this series, but throughout I've held a soft spot for large bodied and hearted Ryan. I've been waiting patiently to read his story, and it did not disappoint! Ryan and Maggie's story is wonderful for so many reasons. I love that Maggie is in her forties and finding love. Love stories about people older than their mid thirties are hard to come by, and this one hits the sweet spot. I also love that Maggie is one of many badass babe bosses in this series. Maggie's confidence and knowledge of her own worth in the business world are so refreshing to see. Most of all, I love the chemistry between Ryan and Maggie, and that they really work through some tough issues but come out the other side together.

Are you getting that I really loved this book? This is my favorite series of Susannah Nix's thus far, and I can't wait to get more from her!

Thanks so much to Susannah Nix and to Haver Street Press for providing me an ARC of this book.
