Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw is another dose of Greg Heffley’s awkward, self-centered middle school life. This time, his dad is convinced Greg needs to “man up” and even threatens military school if Greg doesn’t start shaping up.
Greg is still focused on looking cool with minimal effort, which leads to a ton of funny and cringey situations. As always, he tries to dodge any real responsibility, and his over-the-top ideas usually backfire hilariously. This book keeps up the laughs with Greg’s nonstop schemes and his complete lack of self-awareness, making it another fun (if frustrating) read for fans who enjoy watching him get in his own way
