this was not it. this book attempted to modernize the famous story of emma, but it turned out to be a flop for me.

the characters lacked depth, more than often i found them annoying and i did not see how anyone could relate to them in any way. the writing was poor, the cuts between the authors were clearly seen, the pace was off, the narrator inconsistent.

the meaning of emma’s story was absent. the romance was not believable and only felt like it was there because the characters found each other hot ( usually friends to lovers is my fav trope but this was poorly executed ).

jane austen would not have loved this.
