Batman: Hush by Jeph Loeb

1.0

I have been playing the excellent Batman XBox game, Return to Arkham, and it has got me in the mood to read some Batman stories. Despite my previous extreme dislike for Jeph Loeb's writing and my general antipathy for Jim Lee's art, I decided to take a chance on Hush due to its presence on a number of "top Batman story" lists.

From the nonsensical plot, the TOTALLY OBVIOUS identity of Hush, and the excruciatingly bad internal monologue for Batman ("And I... can't let Catwoman's desires impair my judgment. Despite... what I may be feeling for her....") - this book is garbage. Jim Lee's T+A artwork doesn't help either, other than to solidify the category of this book to "graceless" or "without artistic merit".
