EDIT jan 2023 - i'm going through and reclassifying some reviews now that i've read more and sat on the books for a while.
A little dull, honestly.
originally 3.5 stars.

I love reading about people who are in higher education. I'm not sure why, perhaps I have a secret love of academia. Art isn't something I really understand so it was interesting to read about in the academic context. I liked the book, mostly, but I just wanted... More. Just a little bit more. The ending just sort of slipped away and I wanted a bigger ending, with revelations and drama and conflict.
