“There is no such thing as bad people. We’re all just people who sometimes do bad things”

omg…
i had no idea what this book would be about when i first opened it. i am at a loss of words. i am in shock.
i want to start off by saying i did not shed a single tear, not with the last 50 pgs, not with the author’s note, nothing. so, disappointed in that.
i would like to continue saying, TRIGGER WARNING (rape, sexual abuse, rape, depression, domestic abuse, mention of suicide, alcohol abuse) AND SPOILER ALERT
Spoiler
when Ryle was first introduced, i loved him. i’m a whore for romance stories and i thought this one would be one of those. it was not. he became the character i hate the most out of all movies and books i’ve ever watched/read. he’s an asshole in demon form.
i was rooting for them, and then came atlas, to which i thought “meh, he’s only being mention in letters from the past, he’s not important”. GIRL- GIIIRL- i kid you not I thanked God every time he was mentioned or did something. He saved Lily. He deserves everything good this planet offers. I love this man. And i would help him punch Ryle for sure.

about lily, i love this woman, but not in a “she comforts me” love, more like in a “she’s so fucking strong and brave and i will defend her always against every idiot who crosses her path” type love. she was stuck between a yes and a no, or at least that’s how i see it. she was stuck in the hardest thing to ever get out of, and she did. she got out of that relationship with hot neuro scrubs nasty doctor and defended herself. she is what i call a queen.

Alyssa was also amazing as heck, never, not once did she defend Ryle (her brother) over something. she always chose lily, she always believed lily, it was amazing seeing their friendship grow and seeing just how much these wo best friends love each other.

i loved this book. it opened up my eyes on something i thought i’d never read about, and i’m honestly so happy i read it. to help all those struggling with this. and to understand this situations the best way possible.
