The Organ Thieves: The Shocking Story of the First Heart Transplant in the Segregated South by Chip Jones

dark emotional informative medium-paced

4.0

Given all of the material (or lack thereof) that the author had to work with I think he did a superb job. I think he handled this subject very tactfully without pulling punches, and handled all deceased, especially Bruce Tucker, with dignity.

Having not known anything about the subject and the people involved before the novel, I think he did a great jobaking it approachable and digestable. Only the courtroom got a little away from me, but the rest was good.
