It had elements of thriller and romance but it definitely leaned into the suspense side of things. The story is dual POV with short chapters that are easy to cruise through. We follow Grace to a remote air bnb where she stays with host Calvin who might as well be a walking red flag.

His chapters gave me such an ick that I couldn’t quite pin point. But all I knew was that something bad was going to happen. Add in a bunch of side characters and random plot points including a mountain lion, another house guest, and a birthday bbq, and that’s just me skimming the surface.

While I will not be making this book my personality, it was entertaining and chaotic and the unreliable narrators were truly just so bizarre. My notes app will tell you I had a lot of fun with this one!
