The Paper Magician by Charlie N. Holmberg

4.0

Such a fun tale! The magic system in it is amazing. If any man made material can be used for magic then conceivably anything could end up as a type of magic. I'm sure cloth could be a magical medium. And I really enjoyed the way flesh magic was able to come about.

It seems though that paper magic is so fragile and has to be really planned in advance that it's no wonder that paper magic is falling out of practice. Glass or metal magic would be better for adventures as long as the magician was able to prep the right kinds of spells. Paper is probably much better for spur of the moment spells.

Such a good book!
