Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding

4.0

“…, although we have discovered our Inner Bitches, we have not yet unlocked them.”

it feels like i started this book yesterday. it was such a light a fun read. my copy is filled with underlined lines that are funny and relatable. i was never into the movie, and though i have seen it (quite a while ago), it wasn’t memorable. now, i feel, i have a new appreciation for its easy and time-to-time funny self-deprecating jokes. i enjoyed the subtle writing changes from when it went from ‘her own writing’ (the whole point of Bridget Jones’s DIARY) to the present or past scene descriptions. although, the diary entries for every chapter, moving to the end of the book, became a little bit repulsive.
all in all, v. much enjoyed.
