Why We Sleep: Unlocking the Power of Sleep and Dreams by Matthew Walker

5.0

One of the most comprehensive compilations of high-level scientific data out there of all things sleep. The best I've encountered so far in terms of depth and sheer richness of examples and discussions on the importance and consequences of both good and bad sleep habits, length, quality, etc. A must for everyone interested in improving their quality of life, cognitive functions, productivity in all senses including immunological, biological, restoration, attention deficit regulations, and overall living longer and with better quality. I now place much bigger importance on sleep and I can absolutely understand where the side effects come from when I don't get enough rest over time. A must for any insomnia sufferers out there. That said, be prepared to feel like any sleep you don't get might generate anxiety, now that you know all consequences, but I think more knowledge is never a bad thing.
